Growing up, I lived next door to my Grandmother. Her home was filled with antiques and vintage items. She was famous for re-purposing practically anything and taught me the value of restoration, both in pieces and in people. The ability to see beyond the dings, the missing pieces, the worn and tired exteriors, is a gift she encouraged me to embrace. Through her, I learned that a little imagination, attention to detail and desire go a long way in furnishing a home that is unique and beautiful to you. To this day, I cannot walk into an antique store without thinking of her.

Our family moved often while my husband was in the US Marine Corps. And that sparked my passion for refreshing and re-purposing what we had for the spaces we were living in. I enjoyed the challenge of making each new place “home”. And I always looked for pieces that would withstand the test of time and many moves. I’m certain this explains why it’s so hard for me to pass by a dresser without imagining all its possibilities in every room.

I am blessed to have a family, my husband and our two sons, who encouraged me to pursue my passions professionally. Thanks to their love and support, I traded my business suits for paint clothes and haven’t looked back.
